We support the people of Hawaii through the “Check Out Hunger” program, which encourages customers and associates to make monetary donations at the register during the holiday season. The “Check Out Hunger” program runs from November through early January and in 2012 TIMES Supermarket raised $78,796. In a continuing effort to support Hawaii, TIMES Supermarkets also holds its annual charity golf tournament, with all proceeds going to Hawaii Foodbank. In April 2012, the tournament raised more than $27,000 bring the company’s total donation to the Hawaii Foodbank to over $106,000.
