Pacific Bluefin Tuna
Farmed in Amami Ohshima

Raised by NIHON MAGURO SHIGEN KENKYUSHO CO., LTD (JMK) in JAPAN

JMK began farming Pacific Bluefin Tuna farming in Amami Ohshima, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan in 1994.

In 1997, JMK began to introduce this prized tuna to the Japan market. Since then, JMK has been regarded as one of the pioneers of Pacific Bluefin Tuna farming.

This specific variety of tuna will be offered during the holiday season. Quantities will be limited and flown in fresh from Fukuoka, Japan the day before the pick-up date to ensure freshness and quality.

This highly desirable tuna is generally the variety of choice for fresh tuna connoisseurs because of its texture and high fat content which makes it more flavorful. The fatty meat sets it apart from other varieties.

It is the perfect tuna suited for sashimi and sushi. The tuna is raised in ocean farms and their diet consists of mackerel so no chemicals or harmful products are used. In Japan, this fish is known for its “abura” or “fattiness”.

Loins will be sold by the pound and the supply will be limited.
