Dump Cake

Description

Lehua Kalima Singer songwriter and now chef joins us this week in the kitchen. From Hawaii’s super group Na Leo Pilimehana and numerous awards and over 20 Na Hoku Hano hand awards Lehua can also chef it up in the kitchen. I first saw Lehua while she was with her band in High school the Brown Bags to Stardom a High school talent competition. I got to see them live as they won that year with a song called “Local Boys’ that became a hit and till today 30 plus years later still gets airplay. She tells me on the show that song was written on a plane while some US soldiers where “checking them out” on a plane ride home. Its one of my favorite songs, and today we get her making her dump cake recipe.
