Kuana Torres is back in our Cooking Hawaiian Style kitchen. The multi-talented singer-songwriter does it all. Over the years I have always been impressed with how Kuana perpetuates our culture not just through music but also through food and even crafts and his knowledge with Niihau shells. His Niihau shell leis and jewelry is pretty amazing. You can find a lot of his work on Youtube or his social media platforms. He holds workshops and classes on how to and of course sells a lot of his work. For more check out his website or his Facebook page for some of his elegant creations. This week he shares his kuloloio recipe.


Combine all ingredients. Mix thoroughly by hand. Fold into baking pan. Cover with foil. Bake at 190 to 200° for 10 hours. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Cut as desired. Enjoy!
