Uala Chips

Description

Super bowl champion Maa Tanuvasa joins us this week in the Cooking Hawaiian Style kitchen. The Retired NFL defensive end has 2 Championship rings and spent most of his career with the Denver Broncos. He was drafted in the 8th round by the Los Angeles Rams in 1993 but after his rookie year spent 1 year with the Pittsburg Steelers. He really made some noise in the NFL as he led the Broncos with the most sacks in 1998 and 1999. He was then inducted into the Hawai’i Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. I was lucky enough to meet Maa during his career with the Broncos, as he would visit my radio show often in his off season. Today we are lucky enough to have Maa in our kitchen making Uala Chips.

Instructions

Slice Uala thinly, heat oil to 350 and fry.
